Morning Kennel Attendant

Must LOVE dogs! Immediately hiring full time and part time positions. Must have reliable transportation & ability to work in the morning. Willing to train motivated individuals! Days worked may vary week to week. Shifts you will be scheduled for will be 6am-2pm & 7am-3pm. MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.

Requirements

• minimum of 1 year experience in animal care, kennel or vet’s office preferred
• volunteer experience in an animal shelter or rescue group considered
• certification in pet first aid and CPR are a plus
• experience bathing and cutting nails are a plus
• weekends and most holidays are required
• available at least 1 weekend day a week.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ensuring dogs are placed safely into respective playgroups
• Bringing animals to and from the kennel during check-in and check-out times as requested.
• Rotate dogs in and out of play yards. (Check on every 10 minutes and closely supervise “out w/supervision dogs”)
• Cleaning up after animals both inside and outside, clean animal runs, cages and play yards.
• Maintaining kennel as a whole by performing tasks including, but not limited to: Cleaning up animal waste, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, laundry, washing dishes
• Assisting co-workers with supporting basic animal care and cleaning as requested.
• Feeding and medicating dogs.
• Flexibility to be cross trained on reception

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
