Ethicon is recruiting for a Monofilament Extrusion Specialist , located in Cornelia, GA.

Job Summary:

Responsible for using equipment for the assembly and processing tasks to produce finished products according to established specifications. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Set up and tear down extruders/equipment.
  • Demonstrate Intermediate Troubleshooting skills.
  • Operate at least five extrusion processes.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness for continued training.
  • Demonstrates consistently effective job performance that encompasses good quality and quantity of work, and dependability.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • High school education, G.E.D. or equivalent, experience, or training.
  • Experience in mechanics and electrical/electronic skills highly desirable.
  • Generally, Requires 4-6 Years Work Experience.
  • Computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.
  • Statistical and analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages.
  • Strong background in math or science, SPC skills, and/or post high school is desirable.
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers, scales and balances, calculators, tachometers, computer, and Instron test units. '
  • Knowledge of extrusion or molding operations desirable.
  • Ability to work independently without continues supervision
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • General inspection skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Capable of innovative thinking to resolve problems and recommend corrective actions.
