Title:Monitor Technician
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Telemetry
Location: Naperville, IL
Schedule: 24hrs per week, 6:30pm-7:00am, weekend rotation
Pay: Pay based on experience, plus full benefits
The Monitor Technician duties to include but not limited to:
-Under general supervision monitors cardiac rhythms or patients in special care units via telemetry equipment
-Perform related clerical duties such as answering routine questions, taking/relaying calls
-Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served
- Act as a resource to nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel on identification of cardiac rhythms. This may involve formal and informal teaching
REQUIREMENTS:
-A High School Diploma or GED required
- Three to six months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience preferred
- Previous experience or telemetry certification
- CPR from AHA or Red Cross required
