Job Summary Description
Under the supervision of the EVP, Sales & Marketing, the Polymer Molded Products Sales Manager has the primary responsibility to grow the customer base for Polyform® Molded Foam products, with a focus on impact accounts, as defined by the company. Maintains excellent customer/prospect relations to increase sales and meet company goals.
Maintain and grow sales within existing customer base.- Identify impactful target accounts, assess opportunities for sales, and develop new business opportunities.
- Cold-call companies and establish needs.
- Arrange meetings with potential customers, determine issues, concerns, or vision (ICV), and sell product offerings.
- Present corporate and technical seminars to customers and prospects for further development.
- Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers to leverage existing customer relationships to promote PMP products further.
- Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers to win prospective business.
- Analyzing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development.
- Network with businesses in the territory, building relationships.
- Attending relevant industry events and conferences to build business.
- Follow-up sales leads from web leads or other members of the company.
- Work closely with EVP, other territory managers and marketing to develop sales and marketing strategies.
- Submit annual forecasts for both customers and prospective customers. Also, continually update this forecast as required by management.
- Use company CRM to document all territory activities with customers and prospects.
- Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships.
- Keep current with industry news to identify opportunities for new business.
- Proven experience selling engineered solutions.
- Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred.
- Must have previous experience selling to OEM and preferred in the Molded Foam industry.
- Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs.
- Proficient in MS Office and experience with web-based CRMs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organizational and leadership ability.
- Self-motivated.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- College Education, 4-year degree, preferred.
- Must travel.
