The mold Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for safety, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspections, and preventative measures. This person's main responsibility is to execute planned maintenance activities on injection molds and may help cover mold changes.

The mold Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for safety, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspections, and preventative measures. This person's main responsibility is to execute planned maintenance activities on injection molds and may help cover mold changes.
What are we looking for?
- Two to five years related experience, preferably in plastic injection molding.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- High attention to detail and organized approach to work.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems on injection molding machines.
- Be a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
- Gets along with others and has the ability to communicate instructions in a clear and pleasant manner.
- Be able to successfully complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential function of the job.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Safely troubleshoot, upgrade, install, and repair all mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems that involve the Injection Molds.
- Perform maintenance and repairs of plumbing, mechanical and or electrical equipment, up to 3 Phase 460v.
- Inspect and test machinery, equipment, and molds to detect causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantle molds to gain access and perform diagnoses and repairs.
- Remove and replace worn or defective parts.
- Repair hoses, wiring, valves, etc., reassemble and verify proper function.
- Read, draw, and or update blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals as needed.
- Perform all preventative maintenance of molding and auxiliary equipment.
- Evaluate and suggest ways to eliminate recurring problems using problem solving tools.
- Clean and change tools as needed.
- Perform daily shop inspections and ensure all paperwork is filled out daily.
- Must be able work in an independent environment.
