Mold Maker – Plastics – Base Salary to 45.00/hour – Hartford, CT

• Our client is a leading plastics manufacturer. They are family owned and have been in business for well over 100 years.
• The Mold Maker will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining molds and providing guidance on tooling issues throughout the plant.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate milling, lathe, surface grinders, and basic machine shop equipment.
• Building and repairing molds.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and CAM/CAM files to determine mold specifications.
• Lead the preventative maintenance program for manual and automatic equipment.
• Utilize CAD software for mold design.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing molds.
• Troubleshoot mold and die issues in the shop and in current production.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Utilize strong written and verbal skills.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of CAD/CAM software experience.
• Experienced using Proto TRAK milling machine.
• 5+ years of CRM software experience.
• Ability to use 3D files to program CNC machines.
• Mold maker or tool maker journeyman certification (or equivalent).

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 35.00 – 45.00/hour range
• Monday – Friday, 8 hour shift
