Mohs Technician

Mohs Technician

-We are looking for a Mohs technician to work with our Board Certified Mohs surgeon twice a week, performing frozen tissue sectioning in our CLIA certified lab.

-Previous histology experience preferred in the preparation of frozen sections and/or paraffin embedded tissue

-Proficiency with use of a cryostat, including producing quality frozen sections, maintenance, troubleshooting.

-Familiar with tissue staining using an automated linear stainer. Cover slipping slides, labeling slides.

-Fast paced environment with excellent organization and attention to detail.

Duties will include:

- Tissue staining using an automated linear stainer. Cover slipping slides, labeling slides.

-Routine H&E staining of tissue

-Tracking and logging Mohs cases

-Maintaining CLIA lab compliance
