EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Mobility Systems Software Internwithin our Aviation business in our Hughes Network Systems division. The candidate will work with the team in creating solutions for Mobility Systems for the Aero program built on the Google Cloud Platform and testing the solutions that are built.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in discussions with stakeholders using strong communications skills to determine requirements for end to end testing of System/Application for Aero program.
• Plan, organize, and implement day to day activities by working closely with developers, architects, and technical release managers.
• Understand complex business and functional requirements and develop solutions using Google Cloud Platforms.
• Manage and Track bug fixes in JIRA.
• Assist in creating, execute and maintain Test Scripts.
• Assist in creating and maintaining written testing artifacts to support the team.
• Collaborate on a day-to-day basis with peers on the team, obtain guidance and provide status to team leads.
• Support different teams (like System Integration Team, User Acceptance Team and Production) at Hughes to support feature/functions in the SDLC process.
• Gain working knowledge of Aero Program, which will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
• Contribute to improving automation across various tasks in the End to End System/Application testing to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 3.0 GPA or above.
• 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2024 .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Automation experience (Selenium, Soap UI, Postman)
• Experience in Testing scope including planning, assessments, script development & maintenance preferably in cloud environment
• Experience in Python, Node.JS, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby and other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with C++, Java, or other programming languages.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and datamodel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be capable of working under general direction
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence
• Working Knowledge of Software Applications
• Knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
