POSITION TITLE: Mobile Clinic Driver - PRN
RESPONSIBLE TO: Mobile Unit Manager/Front Office Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
Purpose of Position: The Mobile Medical Unit Driver is responsible for the safe transport of the Medical Mobile Unit to locations in which its team provides healthcare. Safely obeys all traffic regulations. Employee is not required to stay with the vehicle just for proper set up and take down and transportation of the Mobile Unit.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid CDL required. Minimum of two years' experience preferred.
- Acceptable driving record required including: no convictions for driving under influence of drugs or alcohol, no convictions for major moving violations.
- No license suspension, revocation, two accidents or speeding/moving violations within the past 12 months required.
- Ability to operate an RV-sized vehicle required.
- Knowledge of Idaho and Oregon traffic laws and safe driving techniques required.
- Communication and interpersonal skills; Reliability, punctuality, politeness, patience and the ability to remain calm under any conditions required.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives Mobile Medical Unit to and from clinic sessions, health fairs and other events, as directed. Assists with set up and take down of unit.
- Maintains awareness of potential risk to clients, staff and facility while clinic is in session.
- Fuels vehicle as necessary.
- Maintains daily log of vehicle mileage and compressor hours.
- Maintains log of routine inspections of vehicle, on the day of use.
- Maintain a professional behavior and attitudes in regard to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
- Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use maps accurately.
- Ability to be alert to conditions on the road, in heavy and congested traffic, in bad weather or low clearances required.
- Ability to trouble shoot and discuss mechanical issues with vehicle maintenance mechanics that service the mobile unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Continuous sitting, standing, walking.
- Correctable vision and hearing.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Salary Description
Starting $16.00 DOE
