Job Description
As a Mobile Cardiovascular Sonographer you will provide direct care to patients in a residential, rehab and long term care setting.
Core Functions:
Provides direct care to patients in a residential, rehab and long term care setting.
Imaging exam types include (but not limited to):
Transthoracic Echocardiogram
Carotid
Upper and Lower Arterial
Upper and Lower Venous
Abdominal Aorta
Renal Arteries
Conducts testing under the indirect supervision of a vascular physician
Positions patient to maximize effectiveness of image and minimize patient discomfort
Adjusts equipment controls and modifies images during the exam to demonstrate anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and/or pathology accurately
Operates equipment in m-mode, 2D, and spectral Doppler and color Doppler techniques
Prioritizes and coordinates patient care and/or services with team members
Able to work independently, manage time and communicate effectively and professionally to patients and their care team, as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate from an accredited school of noninvasive cardiovascular technology/ultrasound OR three years recent experience and at least 800 vascular procedures performed
Recent experience as a Cardiovascular Sonographer
BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
RVT or RVS certification or eligible for RVT or RVS certification and completion within 12 months of hire required
RCS certification or eligible for RCS certification and completion within 12 months of hire required
Able to pick up and carry 30-40 lbs
Have reliable transportation.
