The Team Lead coordinates MLTs and MTs in a wide range of duties that include producing timely lab results, performing and documenting quality control, utilizing supplies properly and assuring compliance with state, OSHA, FLOYD and other agency guidelines. He/she assures competency of all testing staff, reviews and accepts responsibility for the accuracy of test results.
The qualified candidate will possess the following:
A. Education
1. Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required
2. Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred
B. Experience
1. Minimum of five years of experience in MLT/MT role
C. Licensure/Certification
1. Registered Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) OR
2. Registered Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent)
