Mayfield Ice Cream in Homewood, AL is seeking a Mix Processing Operator to join our team. This position will learn all positions in the Processing department including mix preparation, cleaning and CIP, flavoring, receiving and running and maintaining the pasteurization equipment within a dairy (ice cream) production environment. The Mix Processing Operator closely monitors the dairy production process and follows Standard Operating Procedures for mixing, cleaning, receiving, flavoring, batching and processing products.

PAY:

• $20.58 - $24.83 per hour (step progression as additional skills are mastered)

SCHEDULE:

• This position will train primarily on 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM but will be flexible.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Mix, processing or pasteurization experience or experience in food or beverage industry preferred
• Basic math skills required
• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch for virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or assist others while lifting
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to be able to work in a wet environment
• May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
• May be exposed to allergens
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
