Abacus Technology is seeking a Mission Video Support Technician to provide video monitoring and archival support for the eMITS program at Johnson Space Center. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities- Provide monitoring and video archival support to the International Space Station program, as well as other NASA mission related and commercial crew programs.
- Enter metadata into each video archive using the media asset management system.
- Support media file transcoding.
- Operate video servers, automation systems, and other television broadcast equipment.
- Provide file management and data entry support.
- Provide back room support for customers with regard to video downlink playbacks and products.
- Provide basic video editing and network delivery to customers.
- Provide physical and digital video product delivery to customers.
3+ years experience in Video Support. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for degree requirements. Must be able to accomplish multiple tasks concurrently. Able work independently and as part of a team. Excellent research, organizational, and communication skills. Must be self-motivated and dependable. Knowledge of television industry digital formats and equipment desired. Knowledge of digital and high definition television signals and distribution preferred. Experience with non-linear editing desired. Able to work a rotating shift schedule including weekdays, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Must be a US citizen.
