Job Description
Project 2231, a family-owned Hospitality and Entertainment company that operates Miss Lucille’s Marketplace, Miss Lucille's Cafe, Dock 17, The City Forum, ACME Athletics, and Varsity Pins, is looking for a Clerk/Loader for Miss Lucille's Marketplace.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have a passion for Miss Lucille’s brand and company, including our variety of goods, both new and old, sold throughout the store
- Responsible for outstanding customer service: Welcomes every customer, always puts the customer first, stops projects to acknowledge all customers
- Previous selling/retail and customer service experience: Can handle vendor and customer issues with confidentiality and respect, Must be able to handle high-volume retail situations and communicate line traffic while also providing excellent customer service
- Previous Point of Sale and Typing experience required: items are manually entered into our POS. Accuracy and speed are of utmost importance.
- Exceeds customer expectations: enjoys working with others and genuinely helping customers.
- Able to provide accurate information to customers about store hours, policies, and booth/wall space rental
- Accountable for the accuracy of all sales transactions, register activity, closing paperwork, and cash drawer counts
- Accurately maintain Hold & Sold log while following procedures for placing items on Hold/Sold for customer pick up.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front counter and entrance area including but not limited to sweeping, stocking bags, cleaning, organizing carts, picking up trash, etc.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to customer/vendor inquiries in a courteous manner.
- During low volume times, walks the sales floor looking for recovery and customer service opportunities. Offers to carry heavy/large items to the front for customers. Offers to retrieve carts or baskets for customers shopping on the sales floor.
- Communicates needed supplies to managers.
- Responsible for monitoring/regulating facility temperature with heating & A/C units daily, controlling facility fans, turning on/off facility lights, and locking/unlocking doors at close and open.
- Alerts the General Manager of all facility maintenance needs
- Maintains store Sold and Hold logs, maintains the organization of and the pick-up schedule for Sold/Hold items
- Completes daily opening and closing checklist procedures

- Empty trash throughout the store, check for vendor displays and obstacles in the walkways and check for safety hazards throughout the store
- Reports and logs of vendor booths that need to be cleaned are low on inventory or have maintenance issues
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Walk for extended periods of time.
- Clerk/Loaders need to be able to:
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
- Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
- Understand the speech of another person.
- Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
Working conditions:
- Exposed to both controlled temperatures. and non-controlled environment (outdoors) where may be exposed to all possible environmental factors, such as extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and high humidity.
