Description:

The MIPS Coordinator interacts with clients, medical professionals and additional teams both within the clinic and at outside facilities offering precise, prompt and responsive information to support the organizations' efforts to meet MIPS, quality metrics and other Quality Improvement/Population Health Program goals.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ?

  • Establishes, operates and maintains a super-user network of practice managers. ?
  • Reviews and keeps track of all government/regulatory requirements for MIPS. ?
  • Annually selects quality measures for submission. ?
  • Manages and maintains backup documentation for audits. ?
  • Contributes/develops best practices, procedures and workflows for the offices. ?
  • Provides training and support to practice managers, office staff and providers. ?
  • Communicates applications strategy and system changes when needed. ?
  • Ensures sufficient department / project information concerning application changes are documented. ?
  • Communicates with external registries to perform testing and approval of application changes. ?
  • Provides regular performance reports to supervisor, practice managers and providers. ?
  • Performs annual submission of scores to CMS or appropriate agencies. ?
  • Validates measures are being reported accurately in appropriate systems. ?
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned.

  • Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office. ?
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines. ?
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and other third-party payer’s guidelines. ?
  • Engages in continuous learning, adjusting the application of knowledge, skills and abilities while addressing new challenges as contextual realities change.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS ?

  • Two year certificate from college required; or equivalent combination of education (High School Diploma)and experience
  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS ? At least one year of experience.
