SUMMARY: The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders are dance athletes and ambassadors for the Minnesota Vikings organization whose unmatched energy and talent elevate the Vikings' in-game experience both on and off the field and push the Vikings legacy forward. Their impact extends beyond game days, as the MVC play a pivotal role in creating meaningful experiences for Vikings fans through their youth initiatives, community outreach, international marketing efforts, and various charitable events associated with the Vikings.

Important aspects of this role include athleticism, dance technique, confidence, high character, appreciation for the Minnesota Vikings brand willingness to work as a team player, and a commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.

The Pay for this Position will be as follows:

  • $16.00/ hour for practices and game day hours.
  • $25/ Hour for appearances

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend team meetings and rehearsals expecting all materials, routine knowledge, technique, and performance levels to be at a professional and NFL standard.
  • Perform multiple routines at all Vikings home games and follow a game day appearance schedule that includes visiting multiple suites, clubs, and fan activations.
  • Participate in fan-facing appearances and community outreach, as assigned. These opportunities include engaging with fans through photo opportunities, signing autographs, performing routines, and upholding the Vikings SKOL Service Standards.
  • Increase MVC brand sentiment through events and promotions, including the MVC Junior Cheer Program, MVC Showcase, Master Classes, and various social media campaigns.
  • Serve on a team committee to support yearly programming.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration throughout the Minnesota Vikings organization to meet organizational goals, connect with outside partners, increase fan engagement, and innovate in the game entertainment space.
  • Adhere to all rules & expectations outlined by the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders and in the Minnesota Vikings Employee Handbook.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older by June 1, 2024.
  • Prior dance training and experience is required.
  • Must be an enthusiastic, committed team player with strong communication and multi-tasking skills and a dedication to continued growth as an athlete, and an ambassador,
  • The ability and desire to represent the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders in a manner consistent with our mission and values
  • Must reside or be willing to commute to the Minneapolis metro area for all rehearsals, appearances, games, etc.
  • Must be able to attend rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the contracted period.
  • Must have a valid passport for potential opportunities to represent the Minnesota Vikings internationally.
