STAFF NURSE / Per-Diem/ DAY SHIFT - AMBULATORY OBGYN - MINIMALLY INVASIVE GYNECOLOGICAL SURGERY (MIGS)

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for:
  • Providing care for patients in the Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Clinic.
  • Provide pre/post-operative education and resources to surgical patients.
  • EPIC In-Basket management (results, patient advice requests)
  • Patient phone calls - Nurse Triage
  • Nurse visits within the clinic to offer on-site education/medications/injections.
  • Patient chart prep and review
  • FMLA paperwork
  • Educating patients about referrals to specialists beyond care with MIGS providers.
  • Build and lead foundational workflows for future Endo/Fibroid service line in tandem with the CIRS division.
  • Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.

Qualifications
To qualify you must have:
Education:
•Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
Experience:
  • Surgical Pre/Post Op experience required.
    •Pre/Post-Operative surgical patient education is required.
    •Previous experience in FMLA processes for surgical patients is preferred.
    •Previous Nurse Triage experience is preferred.
    •Ambulatory RN experience preferred.
    •EPIC EMR system experience is preferred.
    •Experience in team-based care is preferred.
  • Other:
    • Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is preferred.
    • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
