POSITION: MINE PLANNING ENGINEER
REPORTS TO: RES Coal LLC, President
SUMMARY: Under direct supervision from the President the Mine Planning Engineer will be responsible for Mine Planning operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the President of RES Coal LLC, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Technical Services Manager from Robindale Energy.
- Continuously buildout and develop reserve models, in Carlson, of the RES Coal LLC reserves for Mine Planning purposes.
- Collect field data and oversee any exploration efforts to refine the geologic modeling for continuous Mine Planning forward based on any new known geologic information.
- Perform reserve studies and establish Medium and Long Range mine plans.
- Manage all annual permitting and reporting in conjunction with Lehigh’s engineering consulting firm for Pennsylvania DEP.
- Perform monthly clean & raw coal stockpile and all active mine open pit surveys.
- Develop monthly and yearly production schedules for financial budgeting and monthly reforecasting
- Manage production data collection processes and ensure data integrity to keep current and monitor trends.
- Oversee Life of Mine reclamation plans and manage reclamation efforts as reclamation development progresses.
- Optimize safety and production through improved efficiencies, enhancing safety practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Fill in periodically, as needed to cover for mine Foreman vacancies for personal and vacation periods.
- Always ensure safe work practice, and regulatory compliance always.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
B.S. MINE ENGINEERING
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the mining industry is required.
EIT/PE Preferred
Knowledge:
M.S.H.A knowledge and regulations is a must, with Surface Miner and/or Foreman card.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Must have good verbal and written communications skills with ability to interact with diverse group of individuals. Ability to work with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and preferred experience in AUTOCAD, or other CAD software that is adaptive to the mining industry. Experience with drone surveying (licensed) is a plus.
