Job Title: Millwright Foreman - Mining Equipment Deconstruction
Department: Operations
Reports To: Project Superintendent
Job Summary:
The Millwright Foreman is responsible for overseeing the disassembly, installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage and direct a team of millwrights & General Laborers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
2. Preform a Job Hazard Analysis for daily work performed.
3. Supervise and coordinate the activities of millwrights and other workers.
4. Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
5. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
6. Ensure that safety rules and regulations are followed.
7. Coordinate with other departments to schedule repairs and maintenance.
8. Train and mentor junior millwrights.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade or other college level degree or equivalent.
Millwright certification.
OSHA certification.
Proven experience as a Millwright Foreman or similar role (5) five years.
Strong understanding of industrial mining aggregate processing equipment disassembly and assembly.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Valid drivers license with no major violations in the prior (5) five years.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
Cold & heat tolerance: Ability to work in low/high temperatures for extended periods. This includes the ability to maintain focus and physical performance in cold/hot conditions.
Pass pre-employment and random drug testing as required.
