Millwork Sales

Builders Alliance in Bellingham has a new opening in their growing Millwork department! We are looking for someone who can greet our walk-in customers and guests with a warm, cheerful, and inviting attitude; providing them with the best customer service and product literature to make the right choice for their project. Previous experience with sales is required; sales specifically in millworks, hardware, or in the building materials industry is strongly preferred.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm (flexible with the schedule)

Pay: $20/hour (or more depending on experience) + commission %

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Millwork Sales Rep is responsible for maintaining guest services, generating sales, merchandising, signing, pricing, point of sales operations, job site visits, inventory control and loss prevention in adherence to all company store standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment including; greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining a clean workspace, providing product knowledge and all other components of great customer service.
• Maintain knowledge of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
• Monitor and track product quotes, sales, gross profit, and promotional events.
• Serve as a liaison with vendors, other sales representatives or colleagues and customers to ensure accurate data and timely delivery.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
• Adhere to all company procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years sales experience; lumber/millwork knowledge strongly desired
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Proven computer knowledge and experience required
