Job Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Mill and Lathe Machine Operator to join our team. As a Mill and Lathe Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and preparing milling and Lathe Machines, including selecting cutting tools, workpieces, and machine settings.
- Operating milling and Lathe Machines to perform cutting, shaping, and machining tasks on various materials.
- Monitoring the machining process to ensure finished parts meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Inspecting and maintaining cutting tools, and reporting any machine issues to the maintenance department.
- Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries while operating machines.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Troubleshooting and making adjustments to machines when issues arise.
- Maintaining production logs, records, and reports of completed work.
- Collaborating with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and ensure timely delivery of components.
Qualifications:
- Must have own tools.
- Ability to perform own set-ups and edit programs manually.
- Capable of holding tolerances of +/- .0005 or better.
- Familiar with print reading and GD&T.
- Reliable and efficient with a strong work ethic.
- Familiar with HAAS and Matsuura machines.
- Proficient in diagnosing/troubleshooting standard manufacturing issues.
- Skilled in work holding methods.
- 10+ years of work experience.
