Job Summary
This position exists to provide collection of solid waste, demolition debris operation, and recycling for a Military Training Site, under the Post Commander.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a valid Class B Minnesota Driver's license within 6 months of hire.
Must obtain a Solid Waste Landfill Operator license within 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of the various articles of machinery and equipment used in refuse collection, recycling, and landfill operation.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with minimum of supervision as well as to communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates to apply their best efforts.
-Ability to work independently.
-Knowledge and ability to operate some heavy equipment.
-Ability to operate hand and power tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge skills and abilities related to recycling practices, organics, hazardous waste material
Ability to make independent judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in outdoor conditions, ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
