Summary
The Military Lodging Specialist is responsible for all military hotel lodging.
This is a part-time position: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00AM - 8:00PM
2.1 Essential Position Functions
· Reserve hotel rooms on behalf of our clients
· Place notice, extend, or check out reservations and units.
· Provide accurate payment and rooming assignments to hotels.
· Retrieve rooming lists and folio receipts from hotels.
· Update and maintain accurate rosters.
· Negotiate rates with hotels and their management companies.
· Communicate with clients and hotels to ensure clear expectations and instructions on each reservation.
· Research and source availability for potential requests
· Resolve guest issues in a timely manner.
· Respond to reservation requests in accordance with SOP guidelines.
· Complete open tasks before the end of the shift
· Follow client safety and information security policies.
· Answer and field incoming calls
· Pull a daily report on hotel check-in and check-outs.
· Add funds to cover daily check-ins and check-outs.
· Perform quality checks on rosters.
· All other duties as assigned.
2.2 Minimum Position Requirements
· Education: high school diploma or GED; some college preferred
· Experience: Minimum 2 years customer service and 1-year hotel/hospitality preferred
· Skills: Multiple line phones, Microsoft Office/Excel, typing, and 10-key
2.3Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times.
