Form of workCOLSA is seeking an experienced MILDEC planner to conduct direct liaison, integration and synchronization with Combatant Command (CCMD) staff, subordinate units, and associated joint, interagency, intergovernmental and multi-national (JIIM) partners. The MILDEC Planner is expected to provide expert advice and analytical support for MILDEC operations, planning, and organizational assessment efforts. The MILDEC Planner will also provide expert advice to DoD leadership of MILDEC policy, doctrine, decisions, trends concepts, and studies.
This Position is located in San Antonio, TX.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate MILDEC operations IOT achieve CENTCOM desired effects in CCMD AORs against CENTCOM target sets.
Utilize target specific intelligence provided by the analyst to develop and staff execution series for a specific plan.. Conduct same as directed for other CENTCOM plans.
Synchronize effects within the CENTCOM AOR and across CCMDs.
Liaise with DOD, Inter Agency and as authorized, International Partners to enable CENTCOM plans / efforts.
Provide expert advice and analytical support for MILDEC operations, planning, and organizational assessment efforts.
Provide strategic and operational level planning support pertaining to CCMD contingency operations and strategic operations.
Provide expert advice to DoD leadership of MILDEC policy, doctrine, decisions, trends concepts, and studies.
Provide senior staff advice and guidance regarding the establishment, management, and execution-level analysis for risk management relating to MILDEC operations.
Support day-to-day office activities such as organizing and facilitating meetings and managing systems/taskers.
Analyze strategies, policies, doctrine, plans, capability gaps, and emerging trends to support decision-making related to the current and potential future threat environment.
Coordinate and integrate CCMD plans with supporting/supported interagency partners.
Provide advice on prioritization of strategy related programs.
