Middle School Special Education Teacher

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking candidates for daytime remote teaching to finish out the school year for the 2023-2024 school year. This particular position is a Special Education teaching position, and certification will be required. This opportunity is perfect for teachers who are looking to transition to virtual teaching. You will be zoomed into the classroom on a smartboard or student's individual Chromebooks. This particular assignment will be a therapeutic classroom with a mental health clinician and behavioral therapists present in the classroom. The virtual teacher will be providing academic instruction for four core subjects. Up to 12 students in the classroom.

Type: Fully remote, Until end of 2023-2024 school year

Schedule: Daytime hours, with a schedule for 25-30 hours weekly

Description/Clientele:Middle School Students, Special Education students specifically

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of teaching, excluding student teaching, of grade level being requested.
• Must have experience teaching in a virtual capacity.
• Must be able to teach all 4 core subjects.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Special Education
• Must have experience in and proficiency with written documentation regarding lessons and student progress, as well as assignment grading.
• Must be able to write and carry out IEP plans.
• Must be available for daytime teaching between the hours of 7:30 - 2:30 EDT
• Must have reliable access to both internet services and devices featuring a camera & microphone
• An active certification in Special Education is a requirement for this position.
