with K-8 or K-12 endorsement.
Preferred: Experience with AVID, PLC's, Behavior management, and IEFA.
Starting Date: August 19, 2024
Salary: Starting at $83,729.00-$98,045.00, DOE, 210 day contract

REPORTS TO: Superintendent
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Serve as chief administrator of the assigned building.
Develop and administer a quality educational program using the following guidelines:
- School Laws of the State of Montana;
- Accreditation Standards set forth by the Montana State Board of Education and the Office of Public Instruction;
- Policies and Procedures of the Polson School District Board of Trustees.
Serve as instructional leader of the school by
Facilitating and organizing professional development activities:
- Monitoring alignment of classroom instruction with district curriculum
- Evaluate performance of teachers and instructional support staff.
- Supervise, oversee, and evaluate performance of clerical, cafeteria, janitorial staff, and other classified employees to maintain quality support services.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Board policies and rules, regulations, and directives.
- Attend all regular Monthly Board meetings and dialogue sessions.
- Develop and maintain good working relations with the community, including community organizations and leaders.
- Confer on a regular basis with administrative colleagues, teachers, students, parents and the Polson Board of Trustees to address educational and discipline issues.
- Work with parents and professional staff in development and implementations of programs for students with disabilities or other special needs.
- Attend sporting events, evening music performances, fine arts events and other family activities involving students and parents.
- Maintain a visible presence in the building and playground to ensure a physically and psychologically safe school environment.
- Work with staff to prepare yearly budget requests and monitor spending to conform to budget restrictions.
- Supervise allocation of equipment, educational material, and supplies in conformance with approved expenditures.
- Supervise preparation of attendance reports, test results, and other reports as required by the Office of Public Instruction and other agencies.
- Maintain a positive school culture that supports teaching and learning.
- Direct federal programs as assigned by the Superintendent and Board of Trustees.
