Position Summary:
The teacher hired for this position is responsible for teaching sixth grade students mathmatics. Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well stamina to be on feet and active for full work days.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a teaching certification. Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. All candidates need to be knowledgeable in the field of instructional technology. The district supports alternative licensure pathways for candidates who do not yet have a teaching license or have a license in a different content area.
Salary and Benefits:Salary range is $44,300-$58,100 per year, depending on education, years of teaching experience, and professional development credits. See the Certified Salary Schedule under the Employment Opportunities tab. The district provides health insurance benefits including dental and vision, PERA retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability, an optional supplemental 401(k) plan, an employee assistance plan, a tuition reimbursement program, and the ability to enroll in supplemental insurances and savings accounts through a third-party vendor. - Implementing curriculum and instructions that align to the Colorado Academic Standards
- Monitor and evaluate student progress
- Prepare educational records and reports
- Analyze student data and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Conduct classroom and standardized assessments to measure student growth
- Possess skills to support math and/or literacy intervention
- Exceptional technology skills necessary
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal
