Blackhawk Middle School is seeking a versatile long-Term SubstituteMusic Teacher that has working knowledge of grades 6-8 Illinois
Music Learning Standards. In addition, this teacher must be familiar with current pedagogy and interventions that produce
results with both struggling, secure, and advanced students. Potential candidates should be well versed in the academic,
social/emotional needs of Middle School students and possess a willingness to devote the time required to be successful
with high needs students. This teacher must be collaborative and collegial and be an active, positive presence that promotes
a safe and welcoming learning environment for both students and colleagues.
Requirements:
Current Professional Educators License
Music endorsement required
Knowledge of instructional technology related to music instruction
Successful teaching experience desired, but not necessary
ESL endorsement preferred
This long-Term Substitute will start the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year - 8/9/2023 for 12 weeks.
Rate of pay: $210/day
