The ideal candidate will be comfortable outlining and planning all aspects of work related to a given project such as budget, timelines and teams. They will have strong communication skills that enable them to effectively communicate with all relevant teams. This individual should be able to foresee any problems related to the completion of a project and act in a timely manner to mitigate any issues.
Job Description:
- Work directly with business to drive a program from initiation through delivery.
- Provide daily support for managing delivery of project tasks, activities, milestones and resources.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project requirements, plans, timeline, issues, risks and challenges.
- Support business owners to drive a large program or multiple projects.
- Work closely with program/process owners to identify business change and drive the consensus necessary to adopt a manageable change strategy.
- Manage large programs and complex projects involving multiple parties/organizations with conflicting agendas and business priorities.
- Lead large, cross-organization project teams towards targeted and scheduled outcomes.
- Engage with executive leadership as necessary to communicate project objectives, strategy, tactics, and ongoing progress.
- Drive purchasing programs creating templates through Azure Dev Ops tool and create PBI.
- Streamline programs, work closely with tooling team for internal programs, agile and automate.
- Create intake form for purchase orders via through MyOrder
- Manage process in Azure Dev Ops
- Build out and manage reporting
- Work with key stakeholders
- Training Key Stakeholders
- Surrounding team & key projects – Work on list for next fiscal year and purchasing process, templates and reporting
- Purpose of this team – purchasing program management, business analysis, planning, drive all up process and intake
Top 3 must-have hard skills:
- Power BI reporting – 5 years
- Worked on MSFT internal projects – Flex
- MSFT Excel and Word experience – Flex
- Typical task breakdown and rhythm – The first 2 – 3 months 50% of the time will be figuring out the framework and then the other 50% will be heads down. Then after the 2 – 3 months 25% will be MBR and the other 75% will be working with stakeholders.
- Interaction level with team – High interaction with the manager and the team.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge/background in software industry products/services/applications, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft's products/services/applications preferred.
- Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills
- Ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues.
- The ideal candidate will have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others.
- Must have excellent communication skills to all levels (including Executive level), experience working with external vendors, strong project management skills, strong leadership skills, and demonstrated experience managing large-scale programs.
- Demonstrated success in learning and training principles/skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
