Mid-Level Graphic Designer (Pt /Contract)

Just Salad is looking for a Mid-level Graphic Designer to join our team for a part-time basis. We are looking for a dedicated, talented, and passionate person to work on a variety of graphic design projects including flyers, menus, emails, social assets, presentations, and advertisements. 

Reports to our Director of Visual Identity.

This position will be on site in our NYC office.

Our ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

• Graduated with a BS/BA in Graphic Design from an accredited program

• 3-5 years of experience at an agency or as an in-house designer (not including internships)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail

• Exceptional understanding of how to use layouts

• Personable, creative, and fun to work with

• Ability to be agile and work under tight deadlines

• Must have expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

• Proficiency with Google Suite and Dropbox

• Must understand best practices for both digital AND print

• Portfolio to share (PDF or online)

• Bonus points for:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Keynote

• Basic knowledge of Unbounce, Iterable, and Asana

• Experience coordinating and directing photoshoots

• Experience with food/QSR brands

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule

• Edit photos for both print and digital usage

• Update templates for print and digital artwork to support Grand Openings and events

• Collaborate with our Brand Manager to create emails, app images, landing pages, and social media graphics as part of a cohesive marketing campaign

• Collaborate with cross-functional team to manage pre and post-production of printed menu boards, digital menu boards, and in-store signage

• Assist with photoshoots for store openings and seasonal menu launch

• Create one-sheets to support internal programs

• Manage external vendors

• Maintain design files and organization

Compensation:

• Must be on-site in our Midtown office

• 28 hours per week 

• $35- 40 per hour, depending on experience
