Duties and Accountabilities
- Advise and represent clients in complex litigation and regulatory matters.
- Develop legal strategy, advise, and recommendations for clients.
- Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to advise on litigation legal strategy with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and all key stakeholders.
- Research, analyze, and present conclusions on laws, court decisions, and other relevant sources related to ongoing litigation.
- Draft legal strategy for ongoing disputes based on changes in the law.
- Draft all pertinent filings for litigations based on factual and legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Develop litigation strategy for matters ranging from data protection, defamation, IP infringement, consumer protection, contract and other disputes - and oversee on-the-ground counsel to implement strategy.
- Guide clients through regulatory investigations by international data protection, consumer protection, and other international agencies.
- Advise clients on risk assessments associated with newly developed products, policies, and business structures.
- Analyze reports of unlawful content posted by users on social media services.
- Research and present global legal analyses impacting social media companies, including intermediary liability, hate speech, and defamation issues.
- Review and advise on proposed legislation and regulations across the world.
- Salary: $295,000 - $370,000
- Minimum Requirements
- J.D., L.L.M., L.L.B., or U.S. equivalent in law.
- Must have at least 2 years of professional experience at an international law firm providing legal advice to clients regarding commercial disputes, antitrust and intellectual property laws within the technology industry
- 2 years of professional experience advising on technology-related legal issues involving data protection, defamation, IP infringement, consumer protection, or contract terms.
- 2 years of professional experience managing multiple technology litigation projects.
- Must be admitted to practice law in a U.S. or foreign jurisdiction.
