What are we looking for?
Marine Travelift Mid Atlantic is excited to be adding a full-time Sales Manager to our growing team in Virginia. As a Sales Rep for a leading boat handling equipment manufacturer, you will be responsible for converting leads, meeting with customers to understand their boat handling needs, attending industry shows/meetings, and more. You will develop sales for the Mid-Atlantic region, working with internal team members, external customers, and distributors.
**Ideally, candidates will be located in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina**
As a Travelift Sales Rep, you will…
- Identify and prospect potential clients within the targeted industries to expand the customer base.
- Understand customer requirements, pain points, and challenges to recommend suitable products & solutions.
- Possess a deep understanding of Marine Travelift product solutions & technologies to better serve our customers.
- Translate technical specifications into customer-focused benefits and address any technical queries from clients.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and competitor’s offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate proposals, including cost estimates and timelines, in response to customer inquiries.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients before and after the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction.
- All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
We are looking for you to…
- Have experience in the Marine Industry as well as Large Equipment Sales.
- Have a strong technical knowledge of Marine products, manufacturing processes, and engineering processes. This will also include the ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them.
- Have excellent communication, presentations, and interpersonal skills as well as strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to travel overnight about 40% of the year.
