Microsoft PowerApps Developer (Entry Level / Junior)

Microsoft PowerApps Developer Role (Entry Level / Junior)

The Microsoft PowerApps Developer Role is a resource that works with our development team to write and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This person is required to learn our solutions and gain experience by adding value to large enterprise projects working with tenured developers.

Aeon Nexus continuously has openings for several developers. We are looking for self-motivated individuals that can quickly gain experience and knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform to design software and deliver solutions for our Justice customers. Ideal candidates have a good understanding of software development and the software development life cycle. This candidate must be proficient in working closely with small teams of technical individuals to produce excellent quality solutions while focusing on code reusability and flexibility of solutions. Significant responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing Microsoft Power Platform Solutions including Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Pages and Microsoft Azure.

Microsoft PowerApps Developers will participate in the configuration and development of our Microsoft PowerApps Solution for Justice customers with experienced teams of developers, consultants, and project managers.

Candidates must be ready to work closely with internal teams of technical individuals to define scope, document requirements, identify gaps, design processes, develop training and deliver solutions while interfacing with the project manager and customer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working on a SCRUM team to develop, test and maintain browser and mobile based business applications built using Microsoft Power Platform tools and technologies
• Assisting in the collection and documentation of user requirements
• Assisting in the development of database tables, views, and stored procedures
• Designing, developing, and testing applications in accordance with established standards
• Participating in the maintenance and debugging of Microsoft Power Platform PowerApps, Power Automate workflows and custom coding
• Analyzing and resolving application or system problems
• Providing technical expertise to project teams, and other departments for the resolution of complex policy and/or operations issues
• Applying analytical, interpersonal skills and experience to operations and customer issues
• Collaborating with and following the direction of Project Managers, Architects, Consultants, and Developers
• Meeting schedules and timelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; a degree in Business / Economics / Management Information Systems / Computer Science preferred
• At least 1 year experience or coursework with languages such as Java, Python, C#, Visual Basic .NET, JavaScript or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL or Oracle or similar)
• Familiarity with software development tools like Microsoft Visual Studio and/or Azure DevOps or GitHub or Trello

Desired Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps / Dynamics 365 (model driven apps)
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
• Experience in Report/Dashboard design and configuration
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI (Business Intelligence) or equivalent reporting tool
• Experience with SQL / SSIS (SQL Server Integration Service) / SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
