Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated ERP Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central Specialist to enhance our business operations utilizing the platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central software. Your role will be pivotal in helping our company move forward, ensuring we optimally utilize our systems and tap into their full potential, enabling us to better serve our customers and achieve our goal of making life better.
REMOTE! EST or CST required to collaborate with team headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI.
Full-time, direct-hire.
Must be Green Card holder or USC.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- System Development and Optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and implement new functionalities and enhancements within Dynamics NAV and Business Central.
- Gathers business requirements, proposes effective remedies, and develops, tests, and deploys scalable, well-coordinated solutions to business problems.
- Address and resolve code issues in a timely manner.
- Manage the Dynamics NAV and Business Central databases to ensure stability, reliability, and optimal performance, with an emphasis on on-premise configurations.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers to implement and maintain automated exchange of electronic data.
- Proactively identify areas of potential enhancement and recommend system upgrades or patches.
- Regularly review and document processes, suggesting efficiency improvements.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Design and tailor reports to support informed business decision-making.
- Assure data precision and provide actionable insights based on report analyses.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with all departments to gather requirements, ensuring Dynamics NAV and Business Central cater to the organization's complete needs.
- Offer guidance on best practices and the effective use of Dynamics NAV and Business Central.
- Train and assist users in their day-to-day operations, addressing any software-related inquiries.
- Stay updated with industry developments, best practices, and platform updates, especially as they pertain to transitions between on-premise and SaaS versions.
- Provides backup and support for other functions within the IT department as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by direct Supervisor.
Required/Desired Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administrator or an otherwise relevant field
Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central, knowledgeable in both on-premise and SaaS versions.
Broad understanding of business functions and processes including finance, distribution, and sales.
Strong proficiency in analyzing business processes and translating them into successful solutions.
Familiarity with EDI integrations is a plus.
Experience with SQL databases and SQL Server (SSMS, SSRS, SSAS) highly preferred.
Proficiency and/or experience with the following software/platforms preferred: Dynamics Navision, Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, SSRS, SSMS, SPS Commerce, Lanham extensions
