Microgrid Project Development Engineer
REMOTE Opportunity

Power Careers LLC is partnered with one of the nation's most innovative utility engineering divisions! We're on the lookout for a collaborative and forward-thinking Project Development Engineer. We have three openings: Level 1, Level 2, and a Senior.
In this role, you'll be the bridge between the technical expertise and the clients' needs. Working closely with the Sales Team, you'll shape project scopes, costs, and applications to align with client objectives. Post-sale, you'll be instrumental in project management, ensuring seamless execution. As a trusted advisor, you'll tackle industry challenges head-on, championing solutions for our prospects and customers.
To thrive in this role, you'll need a deep understanding of Microgrid offerings, from diesel and natural gas generation to PV systems and beyond. You should be well-versed in Microgrid technologies like hydrogen and plant-based diesel, and adept at navigating codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, and IEEE. Your ability to translate technical concepts into clear drawings and your expertise in electrical power systems will be crucial.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Developing comprehensive drawing sets, including Electrical One-line Diagrams and Site Layouts.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Analyzing project specifications to determine scope, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Collaborating on new product offerings and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Facilitating effective communication across teams for seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical consulting, engineering, or a related industry. Salary depends on years of experience.
    • Level 1: At least 5 years experience
    • Level 2: At least 7 years experience
    • Senior: At least 15 years experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Electrical engineering skills will be assessed.
