Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of sample dilutions, measuring pH and pH adjustment.Testing TVC/APC, Yeast/Mold, Coliform and E-Coli using Soleris test vial.
• Testing Environmental Swab Sponges - Mold/Yeast, Coliform, Enterobacteriaceae using Soleris test vial.
• Testing Environmental Swab Sponges - Testing Salmonella, Listeria and Listeria monocytogenes, using PCR- Quant Studio 5.
• Responsible for documenting, recording, reporting, reviewing and transferring micro test results from the third party lab and Soleris system to the Raw Materials Testing Sheet Protocol and SAP.
• Responsible for generating and collecting micro test results from Soleris instrument.
• Perform daily calibrations of the balance, pH meter and Soleris system.
• Preparation of dilutions at concentrations. 1:10, 1:100, 1:1000, and 1:10000.
• Daily communication with third party lab, manufacturer, and vendor's regarding the micro test results.
• Ensuring the safe storage of raw materials and chemicals.
• Sanitize all benchtops and workstation prior to the analysis.
• Sanitize and dispose of completed test vials using bleach-type solution.
• Overseeing the collection and disposal of waste materials according to QA SOP regulation.
• Recommending and performing general cleaning in the QA laboratories.
• Participates in and contributes to a safe environment in the QA laboratories by:
• Keeping current with safety regulations mandated by occupational safety and Health Administration
• Checking and maintaining safety equipment.
• Being responsible for the evacuation of the QA laboratories during emergencies.
• Maintaining the current MSDS inventory in the QA laboratories.
• Participates in and contributes to the achievement and continued success of QA laboratories.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• 4 year Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biology

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience
• 2-3 years Analytical Experience
• Demonstrate accuracy, problem-solving and time management skills
• Work as a team member in meeting laboratory and departmental goals and objectives
• Demonstrate knowledge of chemistry laboratory materials
• Demonstrate knowledge of chemical safety materials
