We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Manager, Sustainability Analytics and Reporting within our Environmental and Sustainability team based at Greenway Plaza in Houston, Texas. This position will engage with personnel from all our business lines, including our domestic and international oil and gas operations, our chemicals segment and manufacturing sites, and our low carbon ventures subsidiaries.
The Manager, Sustainability Analytics and Reporting position is responsible for:
  • Supporting Oxy's Sustainability function to advance Oxy's vision and sustainability efforts.
  • Managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) data and Reporting that meets requirements in areas of ESG performance data capture and Reporting and other ad-hoc communications and engagements.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements for tracking and Reporting ESG performance data to ensure data validity and all work meets corporate brand standards and quality guidelines.
  • Compiling analysis, benchmarking and performance reporting based on company policies and data from Oxy systems and from external data sources.
  • Assisting with the drafting, review and completion of Oxy's sustainability reporting and external ESG scorecards and questionnaires, including, but not limited to: ISS, CDP, MSCI, WEF Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics, EcoVadis, and Sustainalytics.
  • Monitoring emerging trends/issues to keep at the forefront of sustainability initiatives.
  • Interpreting company policies, standards and operating practices and Reporting trends as it relates to Oxy's programs and to provide guidance to Oxy Management on best practices.
  • Providing reporting and other support for Oxy's global GHG emissions/carbon accounting, social investment and community-based initiatives, and other KPIs.
  • Developing, reviewing, maintaining, and enhancing ESG-related dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the continual planning, implementation, and evolution of the sustainability strategy, material priorities and related initiatives.
  • Supporting the team with internal sustainability awareness creation and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science, earth sciences, or minimum 10 years equivalent experience.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft suite of applications including Power BI) for analysis, review and Reporting of data.
  • Good analytical and quantitative data management skills.
  • Experience with data management systems to benchmark and synthesize data and communicate internally trends and insights from corporate sustainability and social responsibility sources.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions, climate-related risks, social and environmental issues, and the NGO landscape.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for website and social media content creation, communications and marketing materials with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to different non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement, identifying ways for managing sustainability more efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, including the Value Reporting Foundation (SASB), TCFD, IPIECA, GRI.
  • Demonstrated experience in ESG with a strong understanding of ESG ratings and rankers.
  • Experienced in project/program management.
  • Fluent in English. Multi-lingual in French, Spanish, or Arabic strongly preferred.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior energy, materials, utilities or capital-goods industry experience is preferred.
  • Corporate sustainability reporting experience in a multi-national business context is preferred.
