Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the PACE Quality Manager is responsible for developing, organizing and monitoring the PACE Quality Improvement Plan. This position is responsible for collecting data from all sources; tracking, analyzing and trending the data; and creating reports to be shared with all stakeholders. The Quality Manager oversees the process to evaluate and resolve medical and non-medical grievances by participants, their family members, or representatives.

- Responsible for developing the QI annual plan for PACE and guiding the implementation of the plan, in conjunction with the Medical Director.
- Works collaboratively with the Medical Director to establish quality initiatives and priorities.
- Responsible for collecting data from all sources; tracking, analyzing and trending the data and creating reports to be shared with all stakeholders.
- Communicate and educate on the QI Plan to participants, staff, contractors, administration, and submits the plan to the governing body for approval.
- Develop, monitor and submit quarterly quality reports via CMS’ Health Plan Management System (HPMS).
- Establish and attend quarterly participant advisory committee meetings.
- Integrate and present PACE quality education into orientation and training for new staff.
- Acts as a lead for investigating and developing action plans for incident reports.
- Develop, implement and analyze quality studies and quality surveys.
- Assure that all medical records documentation requirements are met and that records and data of all types are maintained per policies and procedures and are retained for the state and federal mandated period.
- Coordinates internal quality audits and corrective action in collaboration with other PACE leadership.
- Manages preparations for site visits and inspections.
- Participates in formulation and maintenance of PACE policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education Required: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in health related field or five (5) years of relevant experience in health related field. Registered Nurse preferred.
Experience: At least five years’ experience in a hospital or clinical setting which includes experience in quality assessment and improvement. Must be able to work in the suite of Microsoft office products—Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Must have a working knowledge of computer equipment and software packages defined for standard use. Must be able to run electronic reports from clinical databases and evaluate the data for effective use in assessing quality.
