Job Title: Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Intern - In-Person Counseling with Military Experience

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Intern with military experience to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with individuals and families in person, leveraging your military background to connect with and support our clientele.

Position Overview: As an MFT Intern with military experience, you will play a crucial role in providing counseling services to individuals and families, focusing on the unique challenges faced by military personnel and their loved ones. This position involves conducting in-person therapy sessions, offering support, and implementing therapeutic interventions tailored to the specific needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-person counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families.
  2. Utilize your military experience to connect with and understand the unique challenges faced by military personnel and their families.
  3. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client goals.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  6. Stay informed about best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of marriage and family therapy.

Qualifications:

  1. Current enrollment in a Master's or Doctoral program in Marriage and Family Therapy.
  2. Completion of required coursework and clinical training hours.
  3. Military experience is strongly preferred.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to establish rapport with diverse clients and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  6. Familiarity with ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice.
