Job description

Principle Accountabilities
  1. Develops, leads and implements the TWI initiative through managing daily processes and working with new employees on acclimation and training needs.
  2. Train others in compliance with and utilization of Training within Industry (TWI) to include: teach, coach, and mentor TWI concepts and management techniques to frontline supervisors and managers.
  3. Determine and define process scope and objectives. Identify subject matter experts within each department to help facilitate the development of Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs).
  4. Ensure all updated Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs) for all Operational roles recorded in training system.
  5. Develop and manage a detailed schedule and work plan for writing job instructions for the facility. Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  6. Train those identified as trainers for the facility (supervisors, team leads, departmental trainers).
  7. Track progress of job instruction training, development and effectiveness for the facility. Gives guidance and oversight on training timelines for new hires, tracks training completion for all new hires and promotions/laterals.
  8. Provide updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  9. Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout execution of the process.
  10. Administrates training system workflow approvals, guide releases, version control, glossaries, courses and learning paths, role assignments, updates, etc.
  11. Prepares reports for training metrics and timelines including training dashboards.
  12. Conducts annual training review audit and refresher training for all employees.

Job Knowledge/Skills and Experience
  1. Possess a 4 Year degree preferred in engineering, business or equivalent in education and/or experience. Experience in Lean and/or Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing setting a plus
  2. Possess previous manufacturing experience (3-5 years) with one or more years' experience coordinating / managing an operational training program.
  3. Successfully complete TWI Training
  4. Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred
  5. Excellent organization, planning, and administrative skills
  6. Experience administering an online training system preferred
  7. Ability to create training dashboards, metrics reports, and present findings to senior management
