Metrology Engineering Technician, General Assembly Cybertruck

The Metrology technician will work as a member of theDimensional Engineering group in the Manufacturing organization. The successfulcandidate will work on the floor most of the time with portable metrologyequipment measuring parts on a car, part scans alone, tooling fixtures,material handling tooling etc. The work will not be repetitive based out of ametrology lab, but it will be complementary to the work of the manufacturingengineering group. It is fundamental that the candidate is comfortable usingmetrology equipment with various alignment strategies depending on the task athand.

BS Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience with at least one Metrology software (Polyworksor Creaform VX Element) Required

Strong aptitude with measurements systems and generalmetrology equipment

Proficient with Polyworks software, 6DOF, point cloudalignments, laser scanning and blueprint reading

2 or more years’ experience in a metrology or quality roleoperating metrology equipment

Previous electro-mechanical inspection background with theability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, threadgauges etc.) preferred

Considered as a reference in GD&T, and has a deepunderstanding of the concept to give proper feedback to design or dimensionalengineering team
