Metrology Compliance Technician

Job Summary
Metrology Compliance Technician will provide day to day support for the Metrology Program by coordinating equipment through the quality program and screening calibration and repairs between Lab Standards and Customer equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including calibration, inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
  • Validates that certification/calibration for operators and special processes are current.
  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope.
  • Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of Metrology lab.
  • Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
  • - Must have a valid US driver's license.
  • AS degree or applicable technical training and certifications in related field.
  • 4+ years of directly related experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal experience a plus+.
Proficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel
PMEL, TMDE or calibration school a plus+
Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
