Metering Material Handler- 2Nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Metering Material Handler- 2nd Shift. This role is based at our Sherman, TX facility on the 2nd Shift, and will support the Shipping/Receiving department. The regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $20.38 per hour plus a $.60 shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:

• Collecting order notes to fulfill deliveries
• Picking out ordered items from storage shelves using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
• Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in boxes or on pallets
• Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
• Loading delivery vehicles
• Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
• Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
• You will receive training on the use of power trucks and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).
• You will perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
• Performing general warehouse duties as necessary

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

• At least six (6) months of Forklift experience both stand-up and sit down required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a fifty-mile radius of the Sherman, TX facility will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong product knowledge.

Skills:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending with or without accommodation
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and have a close attention to detail
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
• Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as required by business need
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
