Job Position Description:
When there is severe weather (we get everything from tornadoes to flash flooding to blizzards), you'll either be live weather reporting from the field or leading our coverage from the studio. Position also requires a strong interest in regularly creating and updating weather graphics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about severe weather coverage, going live and breaking into programming for wall-to-wall coverage. This position will require the ability to produce compelling forecasts which are visually interesting, clear and concise. The candidate will also have a digital-first mentality and will understand the importance of using digital platforms for weather coverage. A positive and professional demeanor is required when representing the station during public appearances, as is the ability to follow policies and procedures consistent with the station's goals of becoming the best and first choice for weather, news, and information.

Annual Salary Range:
$55,000; based on experience. Exempt.

Requirements:
- Degree in meteorology, with a minimum of two (2) years' broadcast meteorology experience.
- A good live presence is a must
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
