Fox TV Stations
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
METEOROLOGIST (Full Time Regular): Fox 13 Tampa Bay, Florida's leading weather team is looking for a weekend meteorologist. The right candidate must be able to provide weather forecasts for all platforms, including broadcast, web and social. Experience with radar, severe weather and hurricane forecasting required. We are looking for someone who can report from the studio and in the field. Ability to occasionally produce feature news content a plus.
A minimum of five years' experience working as a weather anchor in a medium or large market is preferred. Must have a polished on air presentation with a strong basis in science. A strong social media presence is a plus.
This is a rare opening at a station that takes weather seriously. Degree in meteorology preferred. AMS Seal required, will consider someone eligible for testing.
