As a Metallurgical Technician, you will contribute to the optimization of our metallurgical processes, ensuring the efficient recovery of gold from ore. Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Testing and Analysis:
- Conduct routine and specialized metallurgical tests on ore samples to assess gold content and other key parameters.
- Perform analytical procedures using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Collaborate with the metallurgical team to interpret test data and recommend process improvements.
- Process Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze plant performance to identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Implement changes and modifications to improve recovery rates and overall efficiency.
- Work closely with the metallurgical engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control protocols to ensure product specifications are met.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to established metallurgical standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to continuously improve product quality.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Document and organize metallurgical data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Generate comprehensive reports on metallurgical test results, process improvements, and overall plant performance.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the metallurgical team.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices in metallurgical processes.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and incident investigations.
Qualifications:
- Prefer experience as a Metallurgical Technician in a gold mining environment.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of process optimization and quality control principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
