Metal Sorter - Second Shift

We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Metal Sorters on 2nd shift (M-F) to operate various machinery associated with metal preparation. Metal Sorters may have to manually maneuver up to 25 lbs frequently.

All positions are hourly in a union shop and rates are non-negotiable. Hourly pay rate is $23.35 plus shift premium. ELG offers an outstanding benefit package including medical, dental, life, vision, and matching 401k.

The following positions are available:

2nd Shift (Monday - Friday)

Metal Sorter (2 positions)

All training will be performed on first shift for approximately 4-8 weeks (Monday - Friday).

ALL qualified candidates MUST have experience driving gas/propane forklifts AND operating industrial manufacturing machinery.

Job Description:

• Operate all processing equipment, as required.
• Perform and report daily maintenance on all assigned equipment, as required.
• Label, stencil, or otherwise identify and prepare containers designated for storing material.
• Insure material is properly sampled and identified according to procedures.
• Immediately notify supervisor of any problems, malfunction, or potential problem that may affect processing objectives. Example: different configurations, defective equipment, poor cleaning results, etc.
• Maintain good housekeeping and orderly condition of the work area.
• Comply with all written safety procedures, and work in a safe manner to insure not only personal safety, but also the safety of all others.
• Follow all company procedures, under direction of supervisor.
• Assist lesser-qualified employee’s, under the direction of the supervisor.
• Perform other work as directed by supervisor, in compliance with the current labor agreement.

Pay: $24.69 per hour
