Purpose of this Job:
The purpose of this job is to provide assistance to new and existing customers with shelf and label maintenance, plan-o-gram maintenance and order writing. This entails following specific directions and constructing the various parts of the shelving system.
Essential Functions of the Job:
1. Work with schematics, drawings and configurations to install shelving units.
2. Assemble pre-designed shelving units according to specifications.
3. Stock and restock items on shelving as necessary.
4. Check product codes for out-of-date items.
5. Tag shelving on appropriate products and replace shelf strips as necessary.
6. Install the most current plan-o-grams which are provided by the Marketing Department.
7. Write all orders as necessary.
8. Write all credits as necessary.
9. Responsible for introducing and selling new and existing items to customers to obtain additional sales.
10. Ability to use technology tools such as smart phone, laptop, Outlook program and will utilize these tools for company use only.
11. Must have a current, non-expired and non-suspended driver’s license.

Educational Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

No experience necessary, will train.

Typical Physical and Mental demands of the Job:
Concentration, attentiveness, independent judgment and discretion, manage multiple tasks, read and comprehend instructions and work orders. Must be able to see, hear, bend, stoop and reach. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while driving. Must be able to lift and assemble freestanding shelving units weighing 50 pounds without assistance.
Work Environment:
Exposed to all elements of weather. Will be required to carry in equipment and shelving material, and assembling final shelving units. Will spend the majority of the day with immediate and direct customer contact.
Other Considerations:
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with internal and external customers. Must be able to follow chain of command.
Must have own transportation and a proven good driving record.
