Basic Function:
The Product Merchandiser is an omnichannel and consumer centric role, responsible for driving the product creation process, from analyzing POS sales to discovering consumer trends and market insights to create a cohesive merchandising plan for each customer. Critical in supporting and executing the seasonal financial strategy to achieve divisional performance goals and drive profitability.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Generates and maintains customer price sheets.
- Reviews POS selling results and advises product assortment recommendations based on sales data.
- Performs competitive research and retail analysis to understand emerging trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Manages seasonal product line plans and collaborates with design, sales and brand teammates to execute line plans and go to market strategies.
- Aligns with account support and planning to create product sell-in reports and margin goals.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Requires a minimum of an undergraduate degree in merchandising, business or relevant field.
- Requires 0-3 years of applicable merchandising, buying, product management experience is required; preferably in footwear, accessories or apparel.
- Strategic mindset focused on curating relevant assortments and product stories.
- Must be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Must be able to work in office (Pickerington, OH) 50% of the time.
