Description
The Merchandise Coordinator is an entry-level position that supports the Merchandise Manager/Associate Manager in the day-today functions of product assortment develop, communication and maintenance. The Merchandise Coordinator will interact routinely with Planning, Marketing, Creative Services and Product Development to ensure execution of merchandising goals. The Merchandise Coordinator may also be required to assist others in the Merchandising Department as directed. This position plays a key role in contributing to the achievement of sales and margin goals by completing work that meets the strategic objectives of the Floral, Home and Packaged Gift business divisions.

- Track and maintain financial and sales performance; prepare weekly reports
- Manage daily upkeep and organizational needs of the department
- Revise Microsoft access paginations as needed from inception to print
- Proof catalogs as each catalog round goes through the creative process through Work Front
- Assist in setting up and developing new items which include systems such as PLM, SAP, etc
- Work with the merchant and product development teams to introduce new items and revise
existing - Work with web merch team on ensuring items are displayed on the website and merchandise
appropriately - Track competitive pricing to maintain and grow competitive advantage
- Ensure company and vendor deadlines are met through timely communication and asset
acquisition (photo samples, product information, enclosures, product tasting samples) - Partner with inventory management team to assure that products are delivered in a timely
manner to minimize out of stocks and lost sales - Help with managing all system requirements, including assortment planning, item set ups,
product information, price changes, others as needed - Help with managing vendor relationships and external partner communication
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 1+ years industry experience encompassing sales support, administration or pre-salesactivities or equivalent educational projects
- Preferred industries include luxury products, gifting, retail or direct mail.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of customer's correspondence.
- A proven track record of working well independently and within a team environment;demonstrating strong organizational,prioritization, time management and interpersonal skills.
- High sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle many assignments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
